Making a Home Handicap Accessible

In late 2013, we were working on this project — an alteration to a house that included an elevator, among other things, for a child who was severely disabled at a young age.

The purpose of the project was to make a living space for the child on the first floor of the home. The living space includes a handicap-accessible bathroom, bedroom, and the elevator to enable the child to get to the various floors in the house with relative ease.
